Christoph A. Schaltegger is a Professor ordinarius of Political Economics at the University of Lucerne and also teaches Public Finance at the University of St. Gallen. As a member of management at economiesuisse, he was previously head of finance and taxation policy. Schaltegger worked as an advisor to Federal Councillor Hans-Rudolf Merz in the Swiss Federal Department of Finance until 2008. He supported the Finance Minister in the field of taxation policy and in aspects of international financial policy.
