Dmitry Mukhin is an Associate Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is also a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and an Associate at the Centre for Macroeconomics (CFM). Prior to joining the LSE, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

He received his BA from Moscow State University, his MSc from the New Economic School, and his PhD in Economics from Princeton University, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University. He serves on the editorial board of the Review of Economic Studies and is a recipient of the Kiel Excellence Award and the Robert Lucas Prize.

His research focuses on exchange rates, the international monetary system, and optimal monetary, fiscal, and trade policies in open economies.
