Ippei Shibata is an economist in the Research Department Structural Reforms Unit of the IMF. He has previously worked in the Western Hemisphere Department and the Strategy, Policy, and Review Department. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago. His research interests are in Macro Labor Economics and Applied Macroeconomics.
