Sonali Chowdhry is a trade economist and Max Weber Fellow based at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute in Florence. Her research examines global value chains, heterogeneous firm behaviour and the distributional implications of globalisation. To study these issues, she analyses detailed transactions-level customs databases using modern econometric methods.
