Theme: “What is Next for Ukraine?”
The first Economic Policy: Papers on European and Global Issues Conference brought together leading scholars and policymakers to debate Ukraine’s economic recovery and long-term integration into the global economy.
Leading economists — including Tito Boeri, Edward Glaeser, Maurice Obstfeld, Yuriy Gorodnichenko, Oleg Itskhoki, and Dmitry Mukhin — presented research on Ukraine’s labour markets, urban reconstruction, macroeconomic outlook, and the effects of sanctions.
A high-level policy panel, featuring Sergei Guriev, Linda Goldberg, and Catherine Mann, and chaired by Beatrice Weder di Mauro, brought together European and international perspectives.
The Conference was organised by Şebnem Kalemli-Özcan (Managing Editor of the journal), Simeon Djankov, and Yuriy Gorodnichenko, guest editors for this issue on Ukraine.
