The 1st Economic Policy: Papers on European and Global Issues Conference took place on 4 and 5 December, where leading economists — including Tito Boeri, Edward Glaeser, Maurice Obstfeld, Yuriy Gorodnichenko, Oleg Itskhoki, and Dmitry Mukhin — presented research on Ukraine’s labour markets, urban reconstruction, macroeconomic outlook, and the effects of sanctions. A high-level policy panel, chaired by Beatrice Weder di Mauro and featuring Sergei Guriev, Linda Goldberg, and Catherine Mann, brought together European and international perspectives.

The conference was organised by Şebnem Kalemli-Özcan (Managing Editor of the journal), Simeon Djankov, and Yuriy Gorodnichenko (Guest Editors of the Issue on Ukraine).
