Samuel Pienknagura is a Senior Economist at the Structural and Climate Policies Division of the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2011) and a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics. Before joining the IMF, he spent eight years at the World Bank. His research focuses on international economics, macroeconomics, and climate policy, and has been published in journals including the Journal of International Economics and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking.
